It's hard to believe a preteen doesn't say she loves Justin Bieber or some Disney star. Well, believe it. Justin Bieber annoys me with all his stupid love songs, and on top of that, I don't like pop at all, so I don't like Disney stars' music either. I mainly listen to rock. The genre of rock doesn't matter as long as it's not screamo or blues rock. If I'm not listening to rock, it's all classical music. Some say violins sound screechy or that pianos are boring, but in my opinion, it's so beautiful. I'm even trying to learn piano. Evanescence was my inspiration to do that. Although my parents can't stand rock music. They call it "noise". It's kind of funny how my opinions change so much. Back when I was in first through 3rd grade, rock music was noise to me. Whatever was playing on the radio that my family liked, I liked it to. I'm more independent now. If I want to wear my old Happy Bunny shirt that has a hole in it, then I will. If I think pop is ruining our generation, which is true, then it's my thought. Only a few people listen to real music. I usually listen to bands like Evanescence, Oasis, The Cure, Jack's Mannequin, My Chemical Romance, and sometimes Green Day. My favorite composers are Vivaldi, Claude Debussy, Beethoven, and Yiruma. Sadly, I can't find a single Yiruma song on Walmart's website, and Mom won't let me use any other site to download songs from. She's probably happy about that. (If not, I'd find at least 20 songs I want, and I hate shortening my song lists.) Often people ask me what music, I like, and I wonder if Mom thinks I should lie, and say something like a rap star or anyone popular. I mean, do you think anyone at my schools' ever heard of Evanescence? They are the best band ever, and I'm not changing my mind until I'm sure I've found someone better. No other band I've heard can really connect with me. But you're probably getting tired of hearing what I have to say about music, what's your favorite band?
